Bhakti holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Pune University in Maharashtra, India. After completing her post-graduate studies, she interned as a research assistant at the University of Trans Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology in Bangalore, where she contributed to a project on chromone alkaloids and worked with analytical instruments. She has also published a research paper on the topic. Her experience during the research process sparked a growing interest in the scientific publishing industry. As a Science Editor at JoVE, Bhakti is passionate about collaborating with scientists from various disciplines to help shape how research is disseminated to a global audience. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys watching wildlife documentaries, sci-fi movies, sketching, and spending time in nature. bhakti.kharote@jove.com
