Un sistema portatile in grado di misurare i potenziali evocati visivi allo stato stazionario è stato sviluppato e testato su 65 giocatori di rugby dilettanti per 18 settimane per studiare SSVEP come potenziale biomarcatore elettrofisiologico per la commozione cerebrale. Le linee di base dei giocatori sono state misurate prima della stagione, con un nuovo test per l'affidabilità, la commozione cerebrale e la valutazione del recupero condotti rispettivamente entro periodi di tempo controllati.
