Dr. Zi Chao Zhang is a Professor in the School of Life Science and Technology at Southeast University, Nanjing, China. Her group focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of neurodevelopmental diseases, such as intellectual disability and autism. They are particularly interested in how RNA binding proteins regulate multiple RNA metabolism steps in the neural system. Her lab uses a combination of biochemical, cellular, genetic, and electrophysiological approaches to decipher the molecular mechanisms governing neuronal RNA processing.
