Nicolas Personnic is the founder and leader of the “PERSIST” team (CIRI, Lyon). He is one of the international experts whose research aims at deciphering the molecular mechanisms driving the cell-to-cell variation within a population of bacterial pathogens during the infection, as well as, to reveal the ensuing functional consequences. His work mostly focuses on the bacterial antibiotic persisters.
