Dr. Guigang Li is a professor and the chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Tongji Hospital, part of Tongji Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. As a specialist in corneal surgery, he has performed over 2,000 keratoplasties and received training at OSREF and the LUSK Eye Center. His research focuses on corneal and ocular surface diseases, eye-banking technologies, and innovations in endothelial transplantation. He is particularly interested in the niche modulation of limbal stem cells and the construction of in vitro organoids. His work has been funded by over 10 national and provincial grants, and he has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications.
