Ritu Singh is a plant molecular biologist and geneticist specializing in plant immunity and biotic stress resistance. She earned her PhD from the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi, where she focused on genomics-assisted QTL mapping and molecular dissection of biotic stress responses in chickpeas. Currently, Ritu is a postdoctoral scholar at UC Davis, where her research aims to unravel the defense mechanisms of core eudicot plants against generalist pathogens while also investigating the virulence strategies employed by these pathogens. Her enduring passion for understanding the intricate relationships between plants and fungi drives her commitment to advancing knowledge in this critical area of research.
